To Know You More God Power of Words

God's words are powerful! We know this truth, right? But exercise we actually understand how powerful they are? I think if we did, nosotros'd value existence in His Word more and enjoy them more in our hearts. I mean, when we stop and contemplate the true power of God's words, how can we doubt Him? How can we non believe His promises?

The Bible tells united states God spoke our world into existence. SPOKE. Of all the different ways God could have created the heavens and the earth, He chose to exercise so with words. God took what was zippo and spoke life into it and from those powerful words brought forth light out of the darkness.

"And God said, "Let there be calorie-free, and at that place was light…" Genesis one:3

Over and over once more in Genesis 1, nosotros read, "And God said…" and through His words, He created stars and galaxies, animals and humans. His words gear up boundaries between water and land and created breathtaking beauty and wonder out of empty nothingness. He spoke forrard into the earth and all He created and said it was skillful.

From reading Genesis one, we acquire God's Words are powerful, and they matter. Isn't it amazing how the same God who can bring a universe into existence has likewise chosen to speak directly to us?!!!

And you know what? Not but are God's words powerful, but they are also important. Then important in fact that they volition never laissez passer abroad.

"Heaven and earth will laissez passer abroad, simply my words volition never pass away." – Matthew 24:35

God's words are permanent; they are forever; they volition withstand the test of time.

"All men are similar grass, and all their glory is similar the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever." – 1 Peter 1:24-25

The merely things which will last forever are God'southward Words and eternal life with Him. In a solar day in age that is increasingly disregarding the sanctity of God's Word, we demand to put the Bible back into its proper identify in our lives. Helping others, excavation water wells, feeding the poor, caring for the sick…those are all good works which God uses powerfully to reveal, restore and redeem His people, but they are not a substitute or in whatever style more pregnant than people being in God's Give-and-take. Information technology is through the power of God's Give-and-take that lives are changed, not our charitable works.

As we brainstorm this powerful study, we must kickoff realize the power of the words we are about to read and empathise Who is backside them. Our verses today illustrate non but the importance God has placed on His words, simply besides the power inside them.

God's words are a gift…and they matter.

When Jesus was in the desert in Matthew 4:one-11 and Satan was tempting Him, how did Jesus fight back? Not with supernatural strength, but through the ability of God'southward Word. We demand to do the same.
